Country singer Morgan Wallen is facing another setback as he is being sued for breach of contract by a promoter who claims he canceled a concert without sufficient reason. The lawsuit alleges that Wallen canceled his appearance at the Twin Cities Summer Jam festival in Minnesota just days before the event, causing financial damage to the promoter and disappointing fans.
Wallen has faced controversy earlier this year after a video surfaced of him using a racial slur. The incident led to his suspension by his record label, removal of his music from radio stations and streaming services, and disqualification from awards. He also apologized and entered a rehab program.
The cancellation of the concert comes as Wallen is trying to make a comeback in the music industry, with his album “Dangerous: The Double Album” returning to the top of the charts after the controversy. However, the lawsuit may impede his efforts and result in further damage to his reputation. Wallen has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
